AT220 RAPID CRACK PROPAGATION (RCP) TESTER

Application:

AT220 Rapid Crack Propagation (RCP) Tester is used to determine the arrest or propagation of a crack initiated in a thermoplastics pipe at a specified temperature and internal pressure by small-scale steady-state test (S4 test). This machine conforms to ISO 13477, GB/T 19280 etc.

Features:

1) RCP Test Units:

This Tester is necessary to for gas pipeline manufacturer etc. The sample is mainly the pipe that used to delivery gas and liquids.

2) Rational structure and accurate impact speed. There is energy storage device in basic unit, which shall convert elastic potential energy into kinetic energy，that the impact speed range can be controlled between 1m/s and 20m/s.

3) Friendly man-machine interface, Industrial control terminal was introduced and colorful touch screen display provides more information to operator, such as sample pretreatment time, pipe inside current pressure, impact speed, length of crack and test temperature, etc.

4) Fast pressure filling and accurate pressure control. High pressure N2 source, pressure is settable during 0 ~ 2.5 MPa, high accuracy, easy to operate and fast to filling pressure, especially for large diameter pipe. For DN200 to DN500, setting pressure can be arrived within 30s.

Special design module to make easy for system updated and extended to be suitable for different sizes of .

High rigid frame enhance the bearing strength of system and multiple buffers in the frame reduce impact force from the high velocity striker, so that the component connection keeps perfect after repeated trials.

5) High-efficiency and reliable energy storage system. Energy storage system with a high storage speed and striker lifting system can be locked firmly or released quickly.

6) The easily adjustable support and the simple assembly & positioning system with quick coupling saves time and has proved to work outstandingly well in operation with samples.

7) Wide range of impact speed and high precision. Wide range of impact speed from 1m/s to 20m/s and the precision reach to ±0.5m/s. The software can detect real-time impact speed and display on the color screen. The date also can be store and used for speed calculate and calibration. It is to ensure the test result accurate.

8) Convenient method to delivery load sample. We adopt vehicular sample delivery system to make it easier, fast, and accurate and save time.

9) Automatic security confirmation system. It means the correct locations of the test sample and the striker blade are identified automatically, so that the collision of the sample assembly with the striker blade is prohibited and the blade will not be released when the sample is not in position.

10) High strength impacts die. The die is made up by alloy steel, high hardness and more durable. The machine can equip with different dies.

Low Temperature Conditioning Room

It is an important part of the RCP, customer and build this room by themselves or we can build this room.

1) Ultralow temperature and high efficiency. Temperature can drop to -30 within 10min and multiple groups of samples can be treated simultaneously. Temperature can be monitored and regulated automatically.

2) High precision temperature control system to display real-time temperature of the room and control the temperature automatically.

3) Automatically-activated doors are provided. For time-saving reasons, the assembly goes into and out of the conditioning cabinet through the pneumatic opening door.

4) Independent sample delivery rails for cooling stations. Unique sealing design for the cabinet avoid freezing phenomenon between sealing strip and cabinet.

5) Excellent thermal insulation system helps to enhance the security and save power consumption. The wall material is adopts PU sheet with the thickness of 150mm, and can bear weight more than 40kg/m3. Thermal conductivity is 0.027 Kcal/mh ℃ and the compressive strength is 1.5*105Pa. It has the function of fireproofing and self-quenching.

6) Multiple safety protection systems, including escape and alarm device for operator.

RCP Sample Delivery System

As the standard laying down the “crack initiation shall follow within 3 minutes of removal of the test pipe from the conditioning”, limited time is available to position test sample and to increase the internal pressure. For this reason, we offer a complete electric sample delivery unit.

1) High efficient positioning system and automatic driven system, sample can be picked up from the conditioning cabinet within 30s.

2) Integrated monitoring during testing and provides customer more information, such as cooling temperature, pretreatment time, sample inlet& outlet, etc.

RCP End Caps:

It consists of front & rear sealing part, limiting ring, baffles, O-rings, etc. A variety of specifications are selected, including Φ63mm, Φ110mm, Φ160mm, Φ250mm, Φ315mm, Φ400mm and Φ500mm.

1) Seal parts, limitation ring and internal baffles are connected to each other, together with sample shall be fixed on the v-support on sample supporting seat. So that blade can impact the slotted area on test pipe.

2) Unique design makes the weight much lighter and with higher rigid which can bear 3 Mpa pressure.

3) Patented structure ensures easy mounting and perfect sealing. It is also fast and easy to change to another pipe size or SDR.
