These lights are remarkable in the aquarium hobby, they are thin not too bulky like other lighting sold in most retail stores. The full spectrum makes growing aquatic plants easier. I've had this going for about 1 month now on both tanks and I like that these lights are not overly bright for freshwater aquariums but provide enough watts to grow plants and show off the colors of my gourami. If you are starting off a new aquarium ditch the lights at the store and order these to save you some money and provide your fish a bit more happiness in their new aquascape.
