SiSiB® PC1118

Bis 3 trimethoxysilyl propyl amine

SiSiB® PC1118 is a secondary aminofunctional silane possessing two symmetric silicon atoms. SiSiB® PC1118 may act as an adhesion promoter between inorganic materials (for example glass, metals and fillers) and organic polymers (thermosets, thermoplastics and elastomers) or as a surface modifier.

SiSiB® PC1118 amino silane is a slightly yellowish liquid with an amine-like odor. It is soluble in s, aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbons.

SiSiB® PC1118 is the equivalent of Momentive's A-1170, Evonik's Dynasylan 1124.

Application

SiSiB® PC1118 can be used in many applications, like:

Foundry resins: as additive to phenolic,furan and melamine resins

Mineral-filled composites: for pre-treatment of fillers and pigments

Metal primers

Mineral fiber insulating materials, abrasives: as silicone additive to phenolic resin binders

Sealants and adhesives: as primer or additive

Paints and coatings: as additive and primer for improving adhesion to the substrate.

Packing and Storage

SiSiB® PC1118 is supplied in 200Kg steel drum or 1000Kg IBC container.

In the unopened original container SiSiB® PC1118 has a shelf life of one year in a dry and cool place.
