Physical and chemical properties: White or light yellow, flaky or powdery crystals. Easily volatile with special aromatic smell , highly sublime, do not dissolve in water, can dissolve in benzene, , ethers, chloroform, carbon disulfide and etc. Its melting point is 80.1℃, boiling point is 217.9℃, flash point is 78.89℃, pyrophoric point is 526 ℃, belongs to the secondary flammable solids.
Application: It is a kind of anhydride for making benzene, and used as material for making synthetic fibre, 2β-phenol, naphthylacetic acid, insecticide, glucide, dehrmidizer and etc. It can used as anti-aging agent for producing pesticide, rubber, plastic, too.
Transportation: Industrial naphthalene is loaded in knitted bags which should be transported by trucks or by railway and subjects to the specific requirement of transportation.
