Crude Scale Wax

Crude scale wax refers to the paraffin wax that has undergone perspiration or solvent deoiling but has not undergone the final refining process. This slack wax still has a low melting point paraffin wax. In order to obtain a high melt paraffin wax, the crude scale wax needs to be refined again. Crude paraffin has higher oil content and darker product color. Due to the above and other reasons, the quality of slack wax is poorer than that of fully refined paraffin with the same melting point. Crude paraffin with higher oil content has lower tensile strength, and its structure is softer and fragile.

Micro slack wax has good thermal stability, certain toughness and shrinkage.

Degraded use of various semi-refined wax applications;
Lubrication and rust prevention of various wire ropes;
Industrial Vaseline;
Emulsion explosive phase materials, industrial wrapping paper;
Anti-corrosion and demoulding of building forming panels;
Low-end candles, various combustion aids, anti-frost insulation for crops;
Particleboard, fiberboard moisture-proof;
Low-end hydrocarbon-based grease;
Low-end PVC product lubricant.

Slack Wax Vs Paraffin Wax
Slack wax is a petroleum paraffin wax with an oil content of between 3 and 50%. While fully refined paraffin wax has had nearly all of the oil refined out of it. The oil content of fully refined paraffin is generally less than 0.5%.
Crude paraffin with higher oil content than paraffin wax has lower tensile strength, and its structure is softer and fragile. Thus the quality of slack wax is poorer than that of fully refined paraffin with the same melting point.
For making paraffin wax, we usually remove the oil (de-oiling or de-waxing) from the crude scale wax. The oil is separated by crystallization. Most commonly, the slack wax is heated, mixed with one or more solvents such as a ketone and then cooled. As it cools, wax crystallizes out of the solution, leaving only oil.
