11" overall, 8" long (to start of tang) Damascus blade. 3/16" thick, the cutting edge is double sided just below 7". Heat-treated, it tests out at a rockwell hardness on the C scale of 50. It has been lightly etched to bring out the color. The photo clearly shows blade with the "eye" as well as "waves" pattern, which looks great. These are made of high carbon steel and of approximately 224 layers. It weighs 150 grams. Damascus is beautiful, has an ultimate cutting edge, tough, unique, indestructible. Damascus steel cannot break. The many layers do not allow a crack to propagate through the blade. Its performance will be much better than any similar product.
