In terms of the filler type, SPE column can be divided into four applications of silicone bonding matrix, polymer matrix, absorption matrix and specialized columns. Besides, the silicone bonding has four sorts—antiphase(C18 sealing end/uncapped/hydrophile, C8), positive phase(Silica,Diol, CN), ion exchange(SAX, SCX, NH2, PRS, PSA) and mixed mode(C8/SCX, C8/SAX). Similarly, according to HLB(Hydrophile-Lipophile Balance), the polymer one possesses series of MCX, MAX, WCX and WAX.
Alumina, graphitized carbon black and Florisil pesticide residues are involved into the absorption matrix.
