This is a gourmet product DOP (Denomination of Origin Protected Alto Alentejo) sold in 75cl glass bottles with certified tamper proof seal, individually numbered, packed in cartons of 12, loaded in plywood boxes with 48 cartons each. Acidity is less then 0,3 percent, peroxide index of 8 with a golden yellow color and fresh green apple aroma. With a low content in linoleic acid and high proportion of polyphenols is a very stable product with shelf life up to July 2011. It has a good fatty acid composition and a number of natural antioxidants which gives special gastronomic qualities. High proportion of mono unsaturated oleic acid which participate actively in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases. This is a food and salad seasoning azeite too expensive for cooking purposes.
