On the one hand, vacuum filtration has lots of advantages. Gravity filtration uses the force of gravity to pull a solvent through a filter and leave the insoluble solids behind. Due to the force of vacuum, vacuum filtration is faster and more efficient at removing residual liquid and give out a purer solid than gravity filtration.
