Testing Cameras at Extreme Low Temperatures. Acumen Corporation is constantly striving to improve the quality of their products. This time the object of the test was to subject several cameras to extremely cold temperatures below -94ºF (-70ºC). Three cameras were tested Ai-IR59, Ai-DC75, and Ai-BU45S. To make this test particularly clean the cameras were “frozen” first with the help of dry ice in disconnected state. Once the desired temperature was reached, the cameras were connected to the power. The test ran for 2.5 hours. All three cameras have successfully passed impermeability test showing to sings of condensate. The results of all the tests have demonstrated the ability of Ai’s cameras to work under very extreme conditions well in excess of the recommended norms.
