UHMWPE PIPE FOR DREDGING

Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) is a kind of engineering thermoplastics with more than 3 million viscosity-average molecular weight. It differs from PE standard grades in its very high degree of polymerization. Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene pipe has superior performance over conventional HDPE pipe such as very high wear resistance, impact resistance, intrinsically self-lubricating, anti-adhesion,low temperature resistance and excellent chemical resistance.

UHMWPE Pipe Main Characteristics:
1.Extremely high wear resistance;
The wear resistance of uhmwpe pipe is 6.6 times higher than normal alloy steel, 27.3 times that of stainless steel, 4-7 times 17.9 times that of phenolic resin,6. 4 times that of polyethylene
2.High impact resistance: It won't damage by Cantilever beam impact test according to GB1843 standards
3.High corrosion resistance: The uhmwpe pipe can withstand hydrochloric acid with less than 80% concentration
4.High-pressuer resistance: The working pressure of uhmwpe pipe is between 0.2Mpa to 4.0Mpa
5.Good self-lubrication: The self-lubrication of uhmwpe pipe is better than steel or brass with oil
6.The unique resistance to low temperature: The uhmwpe pipe can be used within -269 to 80 degrees Celsius.
7.Not easy to form dirt: The uhmwpe pipe can't form dirt in the medium with PH value of 9 or above
8.Long life-span: The uhmwpe pipe can maintain more than 70% mechanical properties after it is buried and used for 50 years.
9.Easy installation: The weight of unit length of UHMWPE pipe is only one-eighth of the steel pipe, it is possible whether it is welded or connected by flange
