Zinc Plated Drum Plug

Zinc plated drum plug is G2 and G3/4 round shape bungs which screw into drum flange, those are equipped with gasket of BUNA, EPDM, PE, Viton or irradiated poly gasket performing well in helium leakage test under different conditions, and provide a standard sealing system for steel drum containers.

Aiming at against corrosion, zinc plated with passivisation in Chrome 3 or Chrome 6 is the most common surface treatment of drum flange and drum plug. Our zinc plating technique enables closures keep non-rust over 96 hours in salt spray test.

High grade steel is the critical and basic step to produce uniform and exquisite drum plugs. We are using 1.2mm thickness cold rolled steel sheet from big steel mills, with enough tensile and high stamping performance.

The total 6 welding points are to increase the strengthen of the attachments, withstand higher torque when wrench applied for better sealing purpose.

A special slope design of plug makes the gasket not easily extruded out when the drum plug is tightened onto drum flange under the proper torque.

Every piece of drum plug will go through the leakage inspection machine before packaging. We are always making efforts to keep the filers in steel drums safe.
